Is Basic Life Support the same as Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers?
Yes, Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers, better known as BLS for HCP, got a name change. The AHA felt that the term “Healthcare Provider” could be both exclusory and confusing. So the new name is just Basic Life Support or BLS. Don’t be alarmed by the new name, this still is the same certification course
How will I receive my certification?
For classes that offer the same Day certification, you will receive it within an hour of completing the course. The latest a certification should be sent is by 5:00 pm the next business day. This is for all classes including those not marked as the same Day certification. Please note technical issues could impact the time frame.
When will I receive my certification?
You should receive your certification after completing the class by 5:00 pm the next business day.
What payment options do you accept?
We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express both online and in person. You may also pay with cash in person as well.
What is the minimum age to learn CPR?
Butler County CPR does not mandate a minimum age requirement for learning CPR. The ability to perform CPR is based more on body strength than age. Studies have shown that children as young as nine years old can learn and retain CPR skills.
Do you offer groups or business rates?

Do you travel to Schools, Hospitals, or doctor's offices?
Yes, please contact us with your needs.
Are your certifications through the American Heart Association?
Yes, Our instructors are certified and affiliated with the American Heart Association. We hold classes that are both certified and non certified, Please check when booking your class to ensure you receive the correct certification.
Do you offer non-certification classes?
Yes, the knowledge of knowing CPR can make a difference. Please contact us for pricing.
Does Pennsylvania PQAS apply to me? / Are your instructors PQAS Certified?
Pennsylvania P Q A S currently only applies to people who work in daycares or Pre-K institutions. Daycares and other childcare services need to be registered with the state of Pennsylvania. To do so they must receive CPR training from a state-certified PQAS instructor. Meaning a BLS Instructor card alone would not be accepted unless from a state-certified PQAS instructor.
Please note that this does not apply to healthcare workers or anyone outside of a Pre-K work field.
Yes, our instructors are certified through Pennsylvania PQAS. Please let us know if you need a PQAS certificate with you CPR card.
What is your refund policy?
Cancellation and Rescheduling: To receive a refund, you must cancel or reschedule at least 4 hours before the course start time. Contact us by phone or email. If you’re running late, please notify us. Anyone more than 15 minutes late without prior communication will be considered a no-show. We cannot admit participants who arrive more than 30 minutes late. Rescheduling: You have a one-time free course rescheduling option. Additional rescheduling incurs a $25 fee. Submit your rescheduling request within 7 days of the original class date. Failure to provide a preferred rescheduling date within this timeframe results in cancellation without a refund. Course Cancellation: We reserve the right to cancel a course. If we cancel, you can choose to reschedule or receive a refund. Rescheduling due to our cancellation does not count toward your one-time free rescheduling. Refund Processing: Refunds take 3-5 business days to post back to your account. No refunds after course completion, regardless of pass or fail status. Thank you for choosing Butler County CPR! 🚑
